Team KSSB attends an evening celebrating the legacy of Syed Rahman BEM, with proceeds donated to Leicester Hospitals Charity
Team Kal Sangra, Shonki Brothers would not have missed this special evening honouring one of Leicester’s finest community champions. Syed left a legacy to be proud of, he worked tirelessly raising £1,100,000 over the years for various good causes. Syed’s two restaurants Cuisine of India and Chef and Spice hosted local community and charity groups to bring people together to fundraise.
This celebratory evening at Chef and Spice, in typical Syed style, raised vital funds for Leicester Hospitals Charity. £15,000 was donated to the charity, helping to support patients, their carers, and the NHS staff who look after them in Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and beyond.
Kal Sangra, Shonki Brothers said:
“It was a pleasure to say a few words, Syed I have known for many years. Not only was he a lovely man, he was an outstanding community champion. He poured so much energy and kindness into the local community. He listened to the causes people were fundraising for, and he opened up his restaurants as a hub for people to come together. Syed equally did a fantastic job leading his teams in both restaurants to offer great level of hospitality and service.
The evening was a great success that I am proud the Kal Sangra, Shonki Brothers team and I could be a part of and celebrate such an upstanding member of the community. Syed will be truly missed.”
